Monster Steps Support

Questions, problems, or feedback — email us and we will help.

Contact us

Email office@thefor.xyz. We read every message and reply as soon as we can. It helps if you include your iPhone model, your iOS version, and the app version shown at the bottom of the Settings screen.

You can also write to us from inside the app. Open the Monster tab and scroll to the bottom, then tap Send feedback — it opens a mail draft with those details already filled in.

Common questions

The app shows no steps

Monster Steps reads your step count from Apple Health, so it needs permission. If you declined it, turn it back on in Settings → Apps → Health → Data Access & Devices → Monster Steps → Turn All On, then reopen the app.

Steps you typed into the Health app by hand do not count. Only steps recorded by your iPhone or Apple Watch become XP.

The widget shows a dash

Health data is locked while your iPhone is locked, so the widget cannot always read today's steps. Unlock your phone and the widget updates on its next refresh. Tapping Collect XP still works — the app checks your steps at the moment you tap.

I walked yesterday but got no XP for it

XP comes from tapping Collect, not from walking alone. Steps on a day you never collected are not carried over. Collect once a day, from the app or the home screen widget, and nothing is lost.

Manage or cancel my subscription

Open Settings in the app and tap Subscription, or go to the iOS Settings app → your name → Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge. Billing and refunds are handled by Apple.

I paid but the app is asking me to subscribe

Tap Restore on the subscription screen while signed in with the Apple ID you bought with. If that does not work, email us and we will sort it out.

I got a new phone

Your XP and monsters are stored on your device, so they do not move to a new phone yet. Your subscription does — tap Restore to bring it across.
